Scarlett Johansson, American actress (born on the 22nd of November 1985 in New York City New York) is well-known for her abilities to perform across genres ranging from period dramas to thrillers to action-packed films. Johansson is the daughter of a renowned architect, as well as producer, was born within New York City. Her twin brother Hunter and she were the youngest siblings. When she was just seven year old, she started making auditions for TV commercials. In order to improve her skills, she attended an acting class at Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in Manhattan as well as the Professional Children's School. Her debut came as an actress on film in North (1994) aged nine. When she was eight years old, she appeared with Ethan Hawke on Off-Broadway in Sophistry. Johansson played the lead role in Just Cause (1995), prior to her breakthrough in the film Manny & Lo - a story of two sisters and orphans that are able to escape. After that, she earned the praise of critics for playing a teenage girl who had suffered an accident that caused her to be damaged as she appeared in The Horse Whisperer (1998). She gained more attention with the film Ghost World (2002) as the cynical outcast Rebecca. Alongside her part in the TV series, she also worked as an actor on stage for several years. Her performances have been spectacular in plays like Wildflower. Renee Felice Smith was a young girl when she started her entertainment career. As a child she discovered her passion for acting. With the help from her parents, Smith was offered her first acting job in the age of 6. She starred in a TV commercial for Dannon yogurt. Much like many other new actresses, she chose to develop her talent in theatre. As she worked on other projects in the USA she also had her stage debut with Wildflower. She was a graduate of her Stonestreet Studios Conservatory of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
